Private Lessons

For Ages 5 through Adult

Students will have a one on one lesson with Ursula that can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or one hour in length.

Private Lessons cover the following:

• Reading Music
• Technique
• Music Theory
• Ear Training
• Improvising
• Transposing

Students usually have one lesson per week. Some students benefit even more by requesting two lessons per week. Lesson length is determined by recommendation of the teacher. Younger students require a thirty minute lesson. Students who are older and more advanced require longer lessons.

Ursula’s Piano Studio provides high-quality private lessons that align with ESA requirements. Families can confidently choose a structured, enriching music education that supports their student’s growth, creativity, and academic journey.

The Arizona Study Program

The Arizona Study Program (ASP) is a statewide piano curriculum developed by the Arizona State Music Teachers Association. It provides students with a clear, step- by-step structured path for musical growth. Through carefully graded levels of repertoire, technique, and theory, students will build strong musical skills while working toward annual evaluations which includes ribbons and awards. Participation is optional, but highly motivating for students who enjoy setting and achieving goals.

NATIONAL PIANO GUILD

THE NATIONAL PIANO GUILD AUDITIONS provide students with opportunity to perform a prepared program for a professional adjudicator in a supportive, non-competitive setting. Students receive written comments, certificates, and national recognition for their achievement while building confidence, performance skills, and long-term musical goals.
